you can call my lies and consume all fires
I’ve been dreaming again
now come take my hand
I can see for days - I could show you ways
open up your eyes
hear the words they say
for you, just you

I’ve seen higher than you
I’ve been more, it’s true

in the base of fear
in the embers that have seared
what is left to take?
just an empty mistake
as the birds, they sing
Father Virtue is crowned king
only time will tell
the words never did
for me, just me

I’ve seen higher than you
I’ve been more, it’s true
